Buffalo Stampede is a classic version of Buffalo where you win by landing 2 or 3 of the same symbol on adjacent reels from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel, and depending on the symbol. To help, wild symbols may land on reels 2, 3 and 4. Randomly, a wild symbol may transform into a 2x wild symbol!

The Stampede Feature is randomly triggered where between 1 and 2 additional reel positions will be surfaced on top of a random number of reels. In addition, randomly at any time 1 or 2 Buffalo may be added to the top of the reels, too.

The Free Games Bonus is triggered by landing 3, 4 or 5 bonus symbols for 8, 15 or 20 free games respectively. During the bonus, any wild symbol that lands will transform into a 2x, 3x or 4x wild. Retriggers are possible by landing 2 or more bonus symbols, also!

I had been playing Buffalo Stampede at the local casino but I was betting conservatively at $1.50 per spin. Since February I would go in on Tuesday when my weekly bonus credits would regenerate.

Yesterday, 8-18-20, I switched to the Max Bet of $3.75 per spin and got lucky almost right away. Less than twenty minutes after starting play I hit a jackpot during a run of 26 bonus spins. Then, 17 minutes later I hit an even larger jackpot after the slot attendant and I had exchanged some banter. I didn't try to push my luck after that. If I had been betting at the $1.50 level even the second big win of mine yesterday would have been, just barely, a hand pay.

I just wonder if these machines can be 'tuned' to reward someone who is playing at the Max Bet level (?). These Buffalo Stampede slots are on their way out where I go. There used to be seven of these slots in a carousel arrangement but the casino moved those in July of 2019 and made two banks of three back-to-back. More recently one bank was removed entirely leaving just three Buffalo Stampede machines but with COVID-19 the center machine is deactivated.
