Overview

Zeus II or "Zeus 2" as it's sometimes referred to, is a WMS classic and can still be found in many casinos and has stood the test of time. A worthy sequel to the classic Zeus, Zeus II maintains much of the same theme with the primary addition of the "Hot Hot Respin" feature giving players a better chance to "Fill the Screen" for the Top Award!

Standard Play

Zeus 2 is a lines-based slot which means in order to win, you need matching symbols on paylines from left to right, generally 3 symbols although for the top Zeus symbol, you only need 2. The primary Free Games Bonus is triggered by landing bonus symbols in reels 1, 2, and 3 which are the only reels they occur. The Hot Hot Respin feature is triggered by fully landing a stacked column of Zeus symbols in reel 1.

Balance & Volatility

Overall, I find Zeus 2 to be fairly balanced where both of the bonus features occur reasonably often although to stay alive, you really need to trigger one of those features and score something good.

Bonus Features

The Free Games Bonus awards 10 Free Games with a chance for retriggers and during the bonus, an alternate set of reels is used which contain more Zeus symbols, which consequently leads to greater chances to trigger the Hot Hot Respin feature which really is the primary focus of the game. During this feature, you are awarded 2 Respins and during each, any Zeus or Wild symbol that lands remains sticky for the remainder of the feature, combined with the initial spin. In total, you have 3 full spins to try and Fill the Screen with as much Zeus as possible, for that Big Win or Jackpot. It's still not an easy thing to do, but possible, as you will see!

How You Can Win Big! And by "BIG" I Mean 100x

  1. Score a decent Free Spins Bonus as with 10 Free Games, you have a shot to do well as they all add up!

  2. Do well with the Hot Hot Respin feature where Filling the Screen will award you a 200x Top Award. If you don't quite manage that, you can still achieve your 100x though!

Final Thoughts

Earlier versions of the game give you the option to enable or disable the Hot Hot Respin feature although I wouldn't play the slot without that feature.
