Wild Mermaid Slot Video - LUCKY FIND - Bonus!

  • Wednesday, November 29, 2017

The Wild Mermaid slot machine by Spielo/IGT has Trigger Tiles!

What are Trigger Tiles? Trigger Tiles are a unique way to trigger the bonus: basically every symbol on the reels has a tile behind it which "breaks" when it is used in a winning line. This is hard to do, as it would require all tiles in reel 5 to be part of a 5-reel line win, so thankfully there are two other methods to break these tiles: through scatter symbols and randomly the game breaks a remaining tile!

Once all tiles are broken, the bonus is triggered with 5 free games awarded. During the bonus, every Jellyfish that lands is wild and awards an additional game. It then becomes a nudging wild, moving down one space each spin.

The Trigger Tiles feature is interesting, and it's likely the game can be "vultured" if you can find a game with only a few tiles left, such as what I found, Enjoy!

Never liked or enjoyed any mermaid themed slots.
Treated me like a redheaded stepchild.
Thanks for sharing another casino experience

To the uninitiated: Beware these plate machines! Clearing the screen of plates is how you reach the bonus. You may well stumble onto one with only a single (reel 5) plate to break. Looks like a piece of cake, but in fact, it can take FOREVER (and a ton of cash) to break it. When you DO dump a bankroll to play the feature you may VERY well get stinker.

I play this game all the time. I've noticed the higher bet bonuses don't seem to do very well. It is very possible to get almost 100 free games and a big win at minimum or 2x minimum bet. Always check to see how many tiles are left when you walk past this game. There have been times where there were only 1 or 2 tiles left and I triggered the bonus within the first few spins and it's like free money almost guaranteed. Hope you win more next time!

Spielo/IGT has a demo of this game on YouTube. It shows nothing we can't see in your game. ย The trigger tiles are interesting, and if you find a game with a lot of the 20 needed for the bonus already in the counter, you have a better chance of getting the bonus than if there are only a few already broken. The feature reminds me a little of the brain meter in Plants and Zombies. (- though you don't lose counters with a losing spin like you do in that game.) There is a clone - Jungle of Riches - that has this same feature and I believe FG has a video of it posted. ย This is a hard game. You were pretty lucky.

The bonus could have been less stingy! At the end of the bonus when you have to pick, it a retrigger one of the choices?

I haven't seen this game before, it's interesting with the tiles and the graphics are good. If you play it again I hope the mermaids in the bonus live up to their name. :)
