SURPRISE PROGRESSIVE on the Merlin's Wand slot machine by Konami!
Merlin's Wand is an interesting game and you can be forgiven if you find it confusing at first as I know I did. The deal is, if you land the same symbol in all of reel 1, the Nudge/Upgrade feature may be triggered if you land the same symbol in subsequent reels from left to right in succession. In addition, if you fully land a higher-value symbol on a subsequent reel, then all previous reels are upgraded to that new premium symbol!
The bonus is triggered by landing bonus symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 for 10 free games during which an alternate set of reels is used and I imagine you have a better shot to trigger the feature.
All in all, I gave it my best shot and may make another run at it and win that car next time, Enjoy!

I haven't given this game much of a chance, I have to admit. Seems like what little play I've given it gave similar results to your experience here. Could it be that some games are just stinkers? It's almost like some games just won't work for me but then my wife will turn around and absolutely kill on the same exact machine. Doesn't like the way I play it? Dunno.

It might make others feel better about not collecting giant wins every time they play to know that you have an off night now and then too. At least you got the $ 18.82 mini.
