The Lunaris slot machine is yet another "Colossal Reel" game from WMS, which has a primary reel set and a "Colossal" reel set!

Colossal reel games differentiate themselves by their themes and small novel differences between the games. In Lunaris, you can trigger the bonus by landing at least 3 bonus symbols: note that bonus symbols can only occur on reels 1, 3, and 5 of both reel sets.

In addition to the bonus, during standard play you may also receive special "Butterfly" symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 only which then award either 5, 8, 10, 15, or 20 special symbols onto the Colossal Reel set and then become one random symbol from the paytable! If you were really lucky, you could get 60 replacement symbols in total! Thinking about this, I can imagine situations where replacements such as this may ruin your Colossal reel pay, although possibly they have a guard against that as it hasn't happened to me. For example, what if you got top symbol all the way across in the Colossal Reel and then the mystery symbol feature was activated and wrecked it?

During the bonus, an alternate set of reels is used which contains "super-stacked" wilds in the Colossal reel to give you more of an edge. All in all, I liked the theme and the gameplay, Enjoy!
