Fortune Ox Slot Video - BIG WIN SESSION, LOVED IT!

  • Wednesday, November 25, 2020

Fortune Ox is part of Ainsworth's Double Hit Progressives family of slots where you win by landing winning paylines where 5-of-a-kind wins also award a Progressive or Bonus Prize, depending on the particular 5-of-a-kind, and if the special "Double Hit" symbol is part of the win on reel 5.

The Free Games Bonus is triggered by landing 3, 4 or 5 bonus symbols for 10, 15 or 25 free games respectively. During the bonus, all wins are doubled except Bonus Prizes and Progressives. In addition, wild symbols now also substitute for bonus symbols and landing 3 or more will retrigger for 5 additional games.

Enjoy!

I have to ask. Why are there so many Chinese themed slot machines? I've been to Vegas a number of times and a 1/3rd of the slot machines there are Chinese themed (like this one).

That last big 50x win on a $5 bet was amazing.
That guy that won on a hard 8 $100 bet at 9:1 odds was nothing to write home about and wasn't even worth the hooting and hollering. It would be the same as you screaming and yelling for a $45 win on a $5 bet.
Abaya thanks again for an entertaining year and

Hey Tim, just thought I'd share a bit of a "lucky win" story and suggest a slot for you to keep an eye out for.
So my local (Australia) has recently installed 3 new Aristocrat slots that are a new series called "choy treasures". They play like lightning link except money sacks instead of coins. A few things that are different are :
- The money sack/coin feature requires the standard 6 sacks to trigger the coin bonus during regular spins.
- During the coin bonus the player has 4 screens ( standard 3x5 screens) starting with 1 unlocked on trigger and by collecting coins/money sacks you unlock the next screen. (collecting 8 coins unlocks the second screen, 14 unlocks the third and 25 unlocks the 4th screen).
- The screens work similarly to the mega link series in the manner that coins/sacks can land on locked screens and are awarded when you unlock said screen.
- Another thing to note is that there are 2 types of money sacks that can trigger this bonus : the regular red sacks, or the special gold sacks. Triggering the bonus with the gold sacks instantly unlocks all 4 screens and the triggering coin sacks are added automatically to all four screens (This is how I got my big win).
- Standard "landing one coin/sack resets spins to 3".
- For the free spins bonus there are two variants I have seen, both have the option of 3, 6 or 10 spins with scaled improvements. Also both have the feature of "landing one wild on any reel turns that reel wild". Version 1 adds 88, 58 or 28 coin sacks to the spins (scaling to the amount of free games ie 3 games + 88 sacks added).
- The second variant (the one I won big on) has the same 3/6/10 game options however instead of adding coin sacks, this feature lowers the number of coin sacks needed to trigger the bonus, Respectively 3, 4 or 5 (ie 3 games means you only need 3 coin sacks to trigger the bonus, 6 games needs 4 sacks, 10 games needs 5 stacks).

Now my win story : Seeing as they were brand new I decided to cash in on there honey moon phase, Several $5 bet (max here in Aus outside of casinos) later and I was up about $500. Cashed out then decided to throw a spare $20 in on $2.50 bets 10c denom (jackpots are same values as lightning link). Got the free games and decided to go for the volatile 3 spins where you only need 3 coins to trigger the bonus.

As it turns out you can also get the gold coins during the bonus. Which I triggered with 1x minor ($500) 1x mini ($100) and 1x Major ($500 base, with 1 at $725ish). These coin sacks being gold copied to all reels so all screens started with $1100+ each. The end of that coin bonus totaled to around $4700 on a $2.50 bet. Second spin in the bonus paid nothing, 3rd spin I triggered with golden coins again, 4 small ones and 1 with $250, which again copied to all reels. My total win from that was just under $1100.

All in all the bonus paid about $5800, which on a $2.50 bet was crazy to me. Anyway its fast become one of my favourite slots as while the free games may be somewhat rarer, the standard coin bonus is frequent enough and often pays between 40x and 150x. If the machine gets popular enough to make it to vegas (which I think it will) I would highly suggest playing it. In my opinion its one of the better designed slots I have seen in recent times. The multi screen lightning link style feature makes it so that screens full of small amounts still pay all right (when you can have up to 60 of them in a single bonus), The locked screens are reminiscent of more chilli, The suspense of seeing a good prize on a locked screen builds up suspense like ultra link, The volatile bonus is great for the "go big or go home" type players and the addition of "a wild anywhere on a reel turns the entire reel wild" during the bonus makes going for more games less...unentertaining(?) as it can still pay extremely well.

Anyway yeah, I had a big win, I like the slot and think its really well designed. If you happen to come across it in the future I would highly recommend giving it a try.
