Diamonds Plus Slot Video - $10 Max Bet - NICE BONUS!
The Diamonds Plus Slot machine by Incredible Technologies is reminiscent in some ways to Money Roll!
Although I have to say, it can be quite a confusing slot in some respects, but that's not to say it's not fun! In fact, I really like Diamonds Plus and hope it catches on and that people aren't put off by its complexity.
There's a lot going on with this one so let's first discuss the base game where like Money Roll, you win by landing at least 5 of the same symbol scattered from left to right reels, although there has to be at least one symbol in each reel. For example, if you fill reels 1, 3, 4, and 5 all with the same symbol but without at least one matching symbol in reel 2, you don't win. In addition, it's your overall symbol count that matters: the reels where the symbols land doesn't affect your pay. For example 6 symbol matches between reels 1 and 2 will pay more than 5 of the same symbols across all 5 reels, as your total count is 6 vs. 5!
In addition, there is a Jackpot Award for 75x your max bet if you land the special "Diamond Jackpot" symbol in each of the 5 reels. The payout odds is slightly lower at bets less than max, which is why the machine advertisers the best odds at max bet.
Randomly during any paid game, you may see the reels spin fast and produce a lot of bells & whistles which is a tip-off that you're going to have a Big Win of 10x or more. I can't say, though, if a random event forces the reels to this Big Win event or if it's all smoke & mirrors for a win you would have landed anyway. I'd like to think that randomly this special event rigs the system in your favor, but I'm just not sure.
There are "Mystery Stack" symbols on all reels except reel 1, which randomly evaluate to the same symbol at the conclusion of your spin, except a Diamond Jackpot symbol or a Bonus symbol. Finally, there is a Wild symbol, but it only appears on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5.
The Gem Collector bonus is triggered by landing bonus symbols on reels 2 and 4 for 5 initial spins. After each spin, another level is unlocked adding another row for gems to land. When any gems land on your play field, they lock and at the end of each spin, the gems are totaled and you are paid according to the count of each gem multiplied by its value. Diamonds can also fall, and if they land they will replace any gem they land on also be totaled for a credit award. The Diamonds are where the money is in Diamonds Plus, so you want to land as many as you can as soon as possible. In the center column only, a Respin symbol may also land, awarding one extra spin AND removing the lower-value blue gem from the play field, if any were collected. Finally, if at the conclusion of all of your spins, if your total count of Diamonds is exactly equal to 15,22,30, or 35 then you are awarded the "Diamond Saver" feature where you are provided with 6 choices: 4 contain credit awards and the other two will replace a low value gem with a Diamond! If you make it this far and choose well, your Diamond count can rocket for that Big Win or Jackpot. Got all that?! It sounds more complicated than it, although give it a shot, it's fun! Enjoy!
