Diamond Storm Flamin' Hits obviously borrows a lot from Bally's iconic Quick Hit slot machine and the Quick Hit Fever version in particular although there are a few differences. You win in the base game by landing winning paylines or by landing 3 or more Diamond scatter symbols and if you land 5 or more and are betting more than a 2x bet multiplier, you will be awarded a Progressive: so it's not necessary to bet max to win a Progressive but you do need to bet more than the smallest two bet options!
The bonus is triggered by landing bonus symbols on reels 3, 4 and 5 for 10 free games. During the bonus, all line hits are randomly multiplied by 2x, 3x or 5x and additional Diamond symbols are added to the reels giving you a better shot to score a Progressive win. At Borgata they have this in max bet $1.50 a spin. Pretty volatile where most of the time you get only minor wins, if at all. Never got a big win on it like you did, but I am hoping soon.
