The Dam Lumberjack Beavers slot machine by IGT features the J. Geils Band!

People always say, "Hey Big Payback, what do you look like?" - maybe one day I'll release my photo with the J. Geils Band for everyone to take a look, as this slot features their "Freeze Frame" song during one of the bonuses!

All in all, this is a fun game, back when games were created to be whimsical and fun! The base game is a lines-based game were you win by landing valuable pay lines. There are 3 bonuses in Dam Lumberjack Beavers: Another Dam Bonus, Tree Carving Bonus, and the Beaver Bonus.

"Another Dam Bonus" is triggered by landing special bonus symbols on reels 1 and 5 after which you are greeted with some amusing animation of beavers building a dam, where you receive credits as the water rises and continue to do so until the dam breaks!

The "Tree Carving Bonus" is triggered by landing between 3 and 5 of the special carving symbols on the reels after which you choose a symbol for a credit award. The more you initially land, the more valuable your choices will be.

The "Beaver Bonus" is triggered by landing bonus symbols anywhere on reels 1, 2, and 3 after which you receive free spins until you lock one or two wild symbols on reels 2, 3, or 4. You then receive 5 free spins with a chance for a retrigger. Any subsequent wilds will lock until you land all 3 or run out of spins. If you land all 3, you basically restart the bonus! It's an interesting concept, as you can continually have free spins if you are "lucky" enough NOT to land wilds, although after you do, you need to land the rest to quickly retrigger.

Those dam Canadian beavers so polite and always aiming to please.
Here is an interesting fact: The world's largest beaver dam is located in Wood Buffalo National Park in Alberta, Canada. It is over 2790 feet long. To put it into perspective it is twice the length of the Hoover dam and can be seen from space.
Never seen this game before.

Where do you find these great old games. This is certainly a golden oldie -- IGT brought it out in 2004 - so the game is about 14 years old. You did a great job describing the game and it's three bonuses, so I'll just sit back and enjoy the trip down memory lane. (I'm afraid I don't know the J Geils Band) but sometime when I'm not so tired, I'll take a few minutes and read about them.) Great choice.
