Cleopatra Gold is an interesting game and may be a little less volatile than some of its predecessors, also adding a few interesting twists!
The main new feature is that special Wild Cleopatra Gold symbols have been added to the reels and if they fully land, a new reelset is created and an additional spin is awarded. If they partially land, randomly they may nudge to fully expand on the reel and trigger this "Gold Spin" feature, also. This will continue for a maximum of 3 reelsets as long as you land Cleopatra Gold symbols. If you do not, the top reelset disappears and the prior one respins again until you are all the way back to your original spin. During this feature, you get to collect bonus symbols and if you collect 3, you trigger the bonus for 10 free games and 2 additional free games are added for each additional bonus symbol that may have landed. In addition, wild symbols are transformed into 2x wild symbols where any win that makes use of one or more wild symbol is multiplied by 2.
Once triggered by landing 3 or more bonus symbols on any single bet, the bonus awards 10 free games. During the bonus, any win that uses at least one or more wild symbol is multiplied by 3, Enjoy!

I left this machine with a winnings of 1200 dollars in total without hitting the 3 sphinx free game. It was all from a build up from the gold matching bonus games. This by far my new favorite.

I was addicted to this game when it first appeared in my local Native American casino --- but something has happened and the game has quit paying. Even though you had a decent win, it didn't match up to the potential it displayed. The drifting sands that sometimes filled the screen and could reveal 3 sphinx for the free games doesn't show up often either, and so many times I'd get 2 symbols for free games but not the third. What really bothers me is that I can't figure out why Cleopatra sometimes expands and opens the screen above ... and sometimes just gives the player a x2 multiplier. (x3 in the bonus). This could have been a favorite game, but I don't play it anymore. Hope your luck improves and you have a big win next time you play than she's given me. .
